anthology by selecting stories from the archive using a combination of filters extending beyond authors into universal themes, industry roles, country or language of origin, or even create a storybook by company or professional association.

Your GEMS facilitator is dedicated to nurturing the storyteller within you and brings a unique combination of mining sector perspective and expressive writing expertise to help you craft meaningful and compelling narratives.
Michelle Hohn MA, CDI.D
Sustainability Advisor to the Resource Sector
GEMS Unearthed Creator & Workshop Facilitator
Michelle is the President of Akashic Communications Corp, a consultancy specializing in sustainability and social performance in the global mining, metals and resource sector for close to 30 years. She has a MA in Professional Communications and is Board Certified.
​
Alongside her career in mining, Michelle has facilitated a number of different expressive writing groups since 2014 including multiple publication outcomes. She was, for example, the project curator, workshop facilitator, co-editor, and contributing author to the 2022 Amazon Bestselling anthology My Mother’s Story: Gone Too Soon.
Michelle is also a Certified Transformational Life Coach, holds a Diploma in Applied Psychology & Counselling, and credentials from the Therapeutic Writing Institute, which allow her to seamlessly integrate empathy, sensitivity, and differing layers of insight into her expressive writing work.
